To commemorate its 20 years, Adviso wanted to shine a light on its nature as an independent, visionary agency and take concrete actions to propel its evolution and sustainability. This included appointing new leadership, bringing in new shareholders, consolidating its more comprehensive service offering, making strategic acquisitions and growing its team of experts, now 115 strong.

Adviso entrusted BrandBourg to collaborate on this revitalization, knowing the agency could effectively communicate its new positioning as a 360-degree strategic expertise firm that leverages data to help corporate senior managers optimize and customize customer relationships and experience, from acquisition to loyalty.

The challenge: Expressing its vision clearly

To mark its evolution, Adviso needed to express its identity and its vision more clearly. The brand needed to reposition itself to be in line with the changes taking place both inside the company and within the industry as a whole. More of an evolution than a revolution, the new brand strategy, identity, signature and expression are based on three pillars:

  • From digital to business: Putting customer data back at the heart of business decisions to ensure they’re truly relevant.
  • From tactical to strategic: Working more closely with the business world thanks to a consultative shift that leverages data to have a tangible impact on companies, beyond communications and digital.
  • From acquisition to loyalty: Keeping pace with industry changes while remaining true to the current acquisition-oriented media business model, yet focusing more on retaining and optimizing its clients’ customers.

Adviso’s new brand promise centres on the reality of businesses that amass too much data, information and input. The new brand identity, which employs a sans-serif font and lowercase characters, highlights the accessible, human side of the firm’s experts. Offset by its yellow colour, the letter “O” serves as a visual marker, signifying the singular way in which Adviso views challenges and seeks concrete, relevant solutions for its clients. This yellow circle acts as a graphic element that tells Adviso’s brand story – and calls attention to Adviso’s brand promise: to find and leverage what really matters. This powerful identifier serves to emphasize one or more specific elements within an image full of many, making it the perfect expression of the saying “finding a needle in a haystack.” Versatile, adaptable and easily recognizable, this visual marker set against the otherwise grey, monochrome images becomes a visual leitmotif that is the keystone of the new brand expression. The colour palette developed for Adviso represents the company’s meticulous yet bold nature. Imagery plays an important role in Adviso’s brand universe, telling various aspects of its story and shedding light on the metaphorical dimension of its mission and its corporate culture. Each level features its own characteristics and its own style.

Adviso is now well equipped to effectively communicate its new brand experience in an original and relevant manner, an informative, enlightening undertaking for its clients. This new platform will help set the organization well apart from the competition.
